  • UAC OFFICE CLERK F/T Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  General office work including but not limited to typing, filing and answering phones. Two years of related work experience required.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have knowledge with Outlook, Word and Excel and type approximately 30 wpm. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual required (English/Spanish) for Unaccompanied Alien Children Program (UAC).

 ·         VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR ASSISTANT F/THours:  Must be flexible and work Saturday’s.  Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in recruiting, selecting, screening, orienting and training volunteers.  Conduct tours, assist in coordinating special projects (i.e. group activities, signature events, volunteer participation, volunteer recognition, etc.).  Two years of related work experience required. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

·         AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AIDE P/T Hours: Monday thru Friday 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Responsible for supervision and behavior management of children and the implementation of activities in the After School Program.  High school diploma required.  Must have experience working with children.  Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and good record.

 ·         AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM ASSISTANT P/T Hours: Monday thru Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Will assistant, in conjunction with the After School Care Program Coordinator, is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and supervising the after school program.  Responsible for leading, instructing and directing the After School Program’s Literacy and Social Skills component.  Bachelor’s Degree required with State of Florida Board of Education Certification.  Experience working with children, managing programs and working with a diverse population.  Must have teaching experience.  Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record.

 ·         EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT F/T Responsible for administrative work of a highly confidential nature, with minimum supervision responding to the needs of the Executive Director.  Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must have extensive knowledge with Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel. Must have the ability to prioritize and work under minimal supervision. Bilingual required (English/Spanish).

·         UAC HOUSEPARENT F/T Live in.  Rent & Utilities as well as a competitive salary.  Hours:  Works three days during the week from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. as well as all day Saturday & Sunday.  Manages Staff; responsible for the supervision of the household staff.  Provides nurture and child care for resident children, mostly evenings, through the night and weekends.  Case Management; duties include but are not limited to: assessment of children’s needs, advising administrative office of need for medical or dental appointments, following up with school progress, homework or teacher’s conferences, transporting children to and from school, church, outings, etc.  Document children’s behavior and incidents.  Manages household; finances including household petty cash, food and household supplies, local outings and educational and special children needs expenditures.  Manages and assists with domestic duties and general organization of the house.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual required (English/Spanish) for Unaccompanied Alien Children Program (UAC).

  • UAC RESIDENT COUNSELOR F/T Hours:  3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m./11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. awake shift.  Must work weekends.

Responsible for caring and supervision of adolescent boys.  Will assist in teaching life skills to teens.  Domestic duties involved.  Must be creative, energetic and patient.  Person must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.  Experience with adolescent children required. Bilingual required (English and Spanish).  Position for UAC (Unaccompanied Alien Children) Program.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

·         UAC RESPITE HOUSEPARENT P/T Hours:  Friday 10:30 p.m. to Monday 8:00 a.m. every other weekend.  Responsible for the implementation of home–life organizational procedures and overall supervision of children assigned to their home temporarily in the absence of the Houseparent.  Carries out duties under the direction of the Houseparent and Management.  Bilingual required (English and Spanish).  Position for UAC (Unaccompanied Alien Children) Program.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 

·         UAC PROGRAM COORDINATOR F/T Hours:  Must be flexible. The Program Coordinator shall have at least a Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science; or a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus five years of experience as the director of a licensed child care program, residential youth program, or similar program for children and adolescents; or five years of progressive project management experience on projects demonstrating advanced levels of financial and managerial responsibilities.  The Program Coordinator shall be responsible and accountable for program management and implementation, and shall be the primary liaison with the ORR (Office of Refugee and Resettlement).  Responsibilities include hiring, training, assigning roles, duties, and responsibilities to all staff, and supervising, and evaluating staff; responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and facility polices and procedures.  Bilingual required (English/Spanish). UAC (Unaccompanied Alien Children) Program.

Job Skills Development Class

The next Job Skills Development Class will be held at Uleta Community Center beginning on August 17th, 2010. Please send an email to Christine Keaney at ckeaney@panzouproject.org if you are interested in registering. The class is free and is designed for youth aged 16 to 24.

Job Skills Development Class is back in action at PanZOu! Do you need help finding employment? How about help with your interview skills? Could your resume look more professional? If you answered yes to any of these questions and you are between the ages of 16 and 24, then come to the Job Skills Development Class starting August 17th, 2010 at 4pm.
